Ntiwigunge/rbmb Group's story

Amissa is a member and president of the Ntiwigunge/Rbmb group, the name of which means “the members”. She is 35 years of age, married, and has three children aged from 10 to 15, all of whom are at school. She herself studied three years of high school.

Amissa works growing rice, and this is her second loan cycle with ACB. She says that the loan she has repaid helped her rice business, and she had no difficulties in making repayments. She plans to use this loan to buy fertilizers and pay the labor costs associated with her business.

To expand her rice growing, Amissa plans to request further loans to increase her rice business capacity. Over the coming years, she would like to become her region’s professional farmer, and she hopes to the use the profits to pay for her children’s schooling and medical expenses.
