A loan of $1,750 helped a member to buy fertilizer and to cover the cost of labor.

Majyambere / Bgrm Group's story

Vénusté is a member and president of the Majyambere / Bgrm group, the name of which means “the developments”. He is 45 years of age, married, and has two children aged 13 and 16, both of whom are at school. He studied six years of elementary school education.

Vénusté is a rice grower, and this is his third loan cycle with ACB. He says that his last loan helped his rice-growing business a lot, and he had no difficulties with repayment. He plans to use the money to buy fertilizers and cover the cost of labor for his current rice business.

To see his business grow, Vénusté plans to request further loans to increase his rice-growing capacity. Over the coming years he would like to become the best producer in the region, and he plans to use his profits to pay for his children’s education and medical fees.
