Lamara is from Gardabani district in East Georgia. She is 56 years old and lives with her husband and mother-in-law. Her husband has chronic health problems and gets a relevant pension from the local government. Lamara’s mother-in-law is a pensioner. The family runs a small dairy farm -- 2 milk cows and 2 calves. Lamara produces cheese, which is sold to cheese retailers. She has hens as well and is involved in poultry farming. The family cultivates family-owned land where different kinds of vegetables are grown. Lamara is very hard-working woman with a rich experience in her work.

Lamara requested a loan to purchase calves and piglets. She plans to raise, fatten and sell them at a good price. After a year, the family will be able to get a profit. With the received profit, Lamara will purchase more agricultural land and cultivate and sow maize and Lucerne (alfalfa). This will significantly increase the income for the family and all members will improve their living conditions.
