A loan of $625 helped to buy stock merchandise and to improve the store's appearance.

Marta Isabel's story

Marta, 27, lives in the town of Tocoa, Colon Department with her son and husband. She started selling basic staples five years ago in a grocery store. She sells rice, lard, sugar coffee, toilet paper, meats, ice-cream, medicine for common illnesses, canned goods and sweets.

Marta has requested a 12,000 Lempira loan to better stock her grocery store and to invest in improving its appearance (improve walls and floor). She considers that if her store is managed well her clientele as well as her profits will continue growing.
