A loan of $400 helped to purchase tools for his mechanic's workshop.

Nixon Eder's story

Nixon is a 28-year-old man who lives in the city of Ica, in the district of Parcona. He has two children, whom he loves and who are the principal reason for his life. Unfortunately, for various reasons, he is separated from his partner.

Nixon is a very friendly, hardworking and enthusiastic person who dedicates all his efforts to moving his family ahead. Thanks to his effort, he was able to study for a technical career as an automobile mechanic. In his spare time he enjoys playing soccer with his friends and, on some occasions, he cooks a very delicious “Ceviche” to share with his family.

With a great deal of hard work, enthusiasm and thanks to his mother’s support, Nixon started his small business repairing and converting vehicles, especially GPS systems. Every day from early hours of the morning, he goes to his small workshop located at a service station in the city, where he rents a small space to do his work. He can work approximately 12 hours a day and believes that he is doing well because of his dedication and the friendly service he gives his customers.

Nixon is very grateful to Kiva lenders because, thanks to the help they have given him, he was able to purchase tools for his workshop, such as screws, wrenches and jacks, among others. Consequently, Nixon will have his business better equipped and will have the tools at hand that he needs to do his work. Thus, he plans to expand his services and increase his earnings, which will insure that in the not too distant future, he will be able to have his own shop.
