A loan of $750 helped purchase manure, herbicides and other fertilizers for his corn and pumpkin crops.

Jose Armando's story

Jose is a farmer who grows corn and pumpkins, and he also has a tortilla-flour mill. He is 48 years old, married, and has 3 children, ages 1, 3 and 9. Jose has farmed for the last 30 years, working every day from 5:00 am until 4:00 pm, depending upon the season. At present, he presents no [financial] risk whatsoever.

Jose is requesting a loan to buy manure, herbicides and other agricultural fertilizers. In this manner, he hopes to boost crop production and aid everyone in his family with their economic expenses. His dreams and aspirations are to advance his children in their studies.
