María is a 30-year-old woman lives in her own home with her common-law husband. They currently do not have children. She grows corn in order to make income and support herself. She has been working as a farmer for two years and learned this discipline when she was a child.

She is seeking a loan in order to purchase farming supplies. She will buy three sacks of fertilizer, as well as herbicides and insecticides and seed corn. She will also use the funds to pay laborers.

Following the harvest, she will sell the corn in order to make income so that she will be able to cover her household expenses.
