A loan of $450 helped a member to buy various products (canned goods).

Gbenonkpo Group's story

Gbenonkpo is a group with three members, all of whom live in the same neighborhood. The group’s representative is called Antoinette (pictured with her hand raised in the photo), and she is married. The couple has four children, all of whom are at school and under their care.

Antoinette and her husband live together with their children, and ensure that they are provided for. Antoinette did not spend very long at school and, to contribute to paying the different household expenses, she has worked selling various products (canned goods) for the past 10 years. She is passionate about this business, and it allows her to provide for herself and her children.

Antoinette gets her supplies in a market in Benin. In order to satisfy her customers and increase her working capital, she has requested a first loan along with the other members of the Gbenonkpo group. This loan will allow them to better meet their customers’ requests, as well as to make more profits.
