A loan of $775 helped to buy a tent and boxes to pack fruit.

Zenaida's story

Zenaida, 37, is a single mother of a son who she focuses all her efforts on. They live together in a house Zenaida bought thanks to her daily work. She sells fruit. Her stand is located in her district’s oval which is where transportation providers and people traveling to other places congregate. She’s been doing this work for more than five years and comments that there is competition in this line of work but she says that thanks to her skill in convincing people to buy boxes of fruit from her she manages to sell large amounts. Her work is very easy for her and she likes doing it but her difficulty is having to place the fruit in boxes and sometimes she does not have any which is why she counts on support from lenders who make it possible for her to stay in business thanks to their loans.

With the loan she got she will buy a tent so that the heat won’t affect her fruit and she will also buy boxes to put her fruit in. This is her 4th loan and once again she feels grateful for the support provided because thanks to it she’ll stay in business. She also thanks her communal bank for the responsibility of its members. She will use the 2,000 new soles to buy a tent and boxes for the fruit.
