A loan of $1,475 helped a member to buy livestock for her business.

Kelle Group's story

This group, which stems from the Kelle Banc Villageois, was created on December 30, 2009. It comprises 13 women who live in the same village and get along well with each other.

Dado is the group's leader. She is 32 years old, married, and the mother of four children (three girls and one boy). She has been involved in fattening livestock for more than one year. She buys her livestock at the weekly market. In the photo, she is the woman standing at the far right, carrying a child.

She plans to use her loan to buy a couple of sheep - or one sheep and one goat - and to fatten them up.

She will use her profits to support her family, since her husband has another family in Dakar.

In this group: Mbeugue, Ngoye, Dado, Diakhere, Fatim, Ndeye, Seynabou, Asta, Fatou, Maguette, Bouyock, Penda, Anta
