Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $1,575 helped to pay for his daughter’s university education.

Abdurauf's story

Abdurauf is 42 years old and married with four children. To provide for his family, he has been buying and selling dried fruit and processing and drying apricots for 20 years. Abdurauf has a vast orchard with numerous apricot trees next to his house.
He works very hard, but his income is not enough to pay for his daughter's university education. His daughter is a smart and hard-working young woman, who graduated from high school with good grades and was accepted to a university.
Abdurauf has requested a loan of 7,500 Somoni to pay for his daughter's university education. He and his daughter thank you for your kindness.
