A loan of $1,225 helped to buy groceries, beverages and other products to add to her shop’s inventory.

Aida's story

This is Aida. She previously borrowed 50,000 PHP through CCT that she used to purchase quantities and varieties of grocery items and products for her sari-sari, or grocery shop. Her earnings were a big help in meeting her family's personal, household and business costs and paying for her children’s education.

Aida is applying for another 50,000 PHP loan to buy groceries, toiletries, beverages and other products to add to her shop’s inventory. She feels that the more items displayed in the store, the better, as more items to sell should result in greater profits. She looks forward to this new loan with gladness and thankfulness in her heart.

All CCT community clients, of which Aida is one, are organized into fellowship groups of fifteen to thirty members who meet on a weekly basis. There they share stories of their work, repay microfinance loans and draw strength and inspiration from their study of the Word of God.
