Lumateh's story

She is a married woman and blessed with four children, of whom three are below the ages of fifteen years. The entire family lives in a three-bedroom house at Ntamulung, Bamenda, North West region of Cameroon. She has faced many difficulties in her life, such as lack of business start-up capital, lack of finances to cater for basic needs, the death of her supportive father, ill health within her family and herself, disobedience by her children, and more. She intends to use this loan to purchase a new sewing machine, buttons, and cloth material. She thinks her business will succeed because of her good business location, her experience as a seamstress, and the high demand for her services. The activity will help the community in that it will provide tailoring services at short notice or distance and offer it services at a lower cost to community members. The profits will be use to better the standards of living of her entire family, that is, nutrition, healthcare, and education. The rest of it will plough back into the business.
