Elvis is 26 years old and he is married. He finished high school, specializing in humanities. He lives in his own home and he has two financial dependents, who are his two young children. His main source of income is farming; he grows potatoes, broad beans, and barley on his own plots and on neighborhood plots (in other words, he prepares the land and seed for other people's land; they provide the labor and some farming supplies, and at harvest time they split the yield evenly). The land where he lives and does his planting are in the community of Sankayani Bajo in the municipality of Tíraque, which is about 77km from the city of Cochabamba. He and his wife are finally showing signs of wanting to increase their farming production and to do so they need to ask for investment money to buy farming supplies and thereby improve their family's living conditions by increasing their production.
