A loan of $1,300 helped a member to purchase garments for retail.

El Progreso Group's story

The communal bank "El Progreso" (Progress) originated from classes that were done in the neighborhood. All of the members are acquaintances and neighbors from the same area. The goal of each of the women is to work, to form a spirit of solidarity, and to achieve the maximum level of the program.

Estanilaa is the president of the group. Currently she is a housewife, but she is beginning to sell clothing, and her desire is to sell it independently. Estanilaa will give the utmost effort so that her group progresses and succeeds. This is how she will be able to execute her business plan.

Estanilaa is applying for this loan to buy garments of all types which will allow her to begin working and attracting customers. She is thankful for the opportunity given to her by Kiva and Fundacion Paraguaya.
