A loan of $300 helped to pay workers to harvest his coffee plantation.

Saturday's story

Saturday is a 25-year-old married man with two children living in Kasese, Uganda. He has operated two businesses for the past two years: farming and a retail shop. Saturday started with 500,000 shillings and now has 3,000,000 shillings as working capital. His hardships are inadequate capital to purchase stock, price fluctuations and inflation.

Saturday's personal goals are to educate his children and to build a permanent house; his business goals are to move the business to a more permanent location and to expand his farming activities to new areas. Saturday wants money to pay workers to harvest his coffee plantation.
