A loan of $525 helped to supply her business with dressmaking materials, such as thread, lace, ribbon and needles, as well as materials to make piñatas for sale.

Adela's story

Adela is 39 years of age, married with three children, and lives in Choloma Cortes. She set up her own business 16 years ago in an establishment in the local market, where she sells all kinds of dressmaking materials such as thread, lace, buttons, wool, ribbon, needles, etc. She also sells materials for making piñatas. From a very young age she liked this kind of work, and her business has grown.

Adela has had 10 loan cycles including this one, which is for 10,000 Honduran Lempiras. With this investment she wants to increase her inventory of dressmaking and piñata-making materials. She wants her business sales to keep increasing, so that she can help her children graduate and also improve her home.
