A loan of $400 helped to purchase clothing to sell.

Steffanie's story

Steffanie is a young, hard-working 22 year old woman. She is single, does not have any children, and lives with her parents, sister, and nephew. She works long hours because she wants to be able to give her parents a better quality of life and to achieve financial security. Steffanie's business is clothing sales. She sells her products to her friends in the neighborhood, relatives, and co-workers. The clothes she sells are from good brands and are of innovative designs, but most importantly are very high quality. She always offers good prices and the best payment terms. Steffanie has worked in this business for around 3 years, along with the help of her mother and sister. Steffanie likes that her job gives her independence, and allows her the time and space to also have a job selling fuel at a popular spot in the city without negatively affecting the earnings that she uses to support her family.

Steffanie's clothing business is profitable because she has good earnings, and she has a lot of plans and dreams to achieve. Right now, she would most like to have her own store or shop in which she can more comfortably show and sell her garments. This is Steffanie's 3rd loan with the MFP Institution. She feels happy to know that she has access to a line of credit that can help her move her business forward, and therefore promises to be responsible with her payments so that she can continue in the future. She says that she likes working with the community bank because they are a responsible and united group. With the 1000 soles she is asking for, Steffanie will buy a large quantity of garments because she wants to offer better designs and innovative styles, which has always characterized her business.
