A loan of $275 helped a member to buy fish.

Ayidote Group's story

The Ayidote group has three members, who all live in the same house in Benin. This is the sixth time that this group has requested financial assistance from Alidé, and they have done so to increase their business activity. The group’s representative is called Séraphine, and she is pictured with her hand raised in the photo. She is 23 years of age, and is married to a reseller called Marcellin. The couple has two children, one of whom is at school and both are under their care. Séraphine did not go to school, and lives with her husband and children. The couple covers the various household expenses together. To cover her various expenses, Séraphine works selling fish on the street, and has done so for the past eight years. She gets her supplies in Benin. In order to satisfy her customers and increase her sales and her income, Séraphine and the rest of the members of the Ayidote group have requested their sixth loan from Alidé. This loan will be used to buy more product stock and increase their customer bases. The group’s previous loans have all been successfully repaid.
