A loan of $1,125 helped to purchase an overlock sewing machine which will allow her to take orders for whole clothing and her income will increase considerably.

Flor Angela's story

Flor learned to sew twenty-five years ago, and even started working as a seamstress for a clothing company. After fifteen years of working for this company, she was obligated to stop working and stay at home to care for her two children, which she did until recently, when the father of her children left them. As a result, the economic duties of the household have fallen on her. To be able to generate the income necessary to provide for her two children and help them to get ahead, Flor purchased a basic sewing machine and began to sew again. Now, thanks to the quality of her work, she has very good customers. The difficulty she has is that since she does not have the right machine, she cannot make whole clothing, and her payment is very low. For this reason, Flor is requesting a loan to purchase an overlock sewing machine which will allow her to take orders for whole clothing and her income will increase considerably. Flor hopes that the economic conditions in her home improve considerably, and that her two children will be able to have a better quality of life and access to a better quality education.
