A loan of $1,300 helped a member to buy one sack of maize and a bowlful of tomatoes.

Michael Group's story

Nabaguma is the leader of the "Michael" group. She is 47 years old, the mother of ten children and a very ambitious entrepreneur. Her husband is a farmer.

Nabaguma sells food products, displaying them at her house. She started this business 11 years ago using her own funds. Her main challenge is that she sometimes has to sell on credit.

With this new loan, she will be able to buy one sack of maize and a bowlful of tomatoes.

She thanks Hekima and its partners for the support they provide to small-scale entrepreneurs excluded from the traditional banking system.

It should be noted that, (in the photo), some of the borrowers are carrying their babies.

In this group: Kavira, Kazigire, Mado, Neema, Mawazo, Ndarinyinzi, Wakubenga, Nabaguma, Kikandi, Riziki, Sikiliza, Namuganga, Nyandwi, Byanamahanga, Nabintu, Rose, Nsimire, Bajagane, Zamda, Bwira, Chibalonza, Tulinabo, Furaha, Zawadi, Kitumanini, Chibalonza
