A loan of $2,000 helped to buy grass to feed the cattle over winter.

Rita's story

Rita is from Sverdlov village in the Lori region of Armenia. She works in agriculture. Together with her husband Rita raises cattle. Currently their farm has 25 cattle and 11 cows. Rita sells the milk and cheese she makes in local markets. This is her main source of income, and is barely enough to cover household costs. Rita needs to be able to purchase grass to ensure her cattle are fed through the winter. This will allow Rita to keep earning a stable income from cattle breeding, and thus to sustain her family. Rita lives with her husband and their two sons and one daughter.
