Densmaa's story

Densmaa, aged 52, lives with her family, in a ger, in Uvurhangai province, Mongolia. Her husband, whose name is Myagmardelger, is 48, and is a veterinarian. Her 21 year old son is a Buddhist monk and her 15 year old daughter goes to secondary school. Densmaa had started selling food in 2005, but at this time her living conditions were bad so she sold her livestock. Then she began to sell clothes at a local market. She is requesting a 2,500,000 MNT (Mongolain Tughrik) loan. With 1,600,000 MNT she will buy a notebook for her daughter and the rest of the loan will be used to buy inventory for her business. She also mentions that the new academic year is beginning and people will buy more clothes. Densmaa is a hardworking and tenacious woman.
