A loan of $400 helped to buy merchandise to sell.

Cesar Rolando's story

Cesar is twenty-six and very hardworking. He lives in the town of Pisco, know for its beautiful beaches and warm climate. In his spare time, he likes to practice sports, and his favourite dish is 'cau cau de pollo' (Peruvian diced chicken). He managed to finish secondary school, but he would have liked to continue his studies and graduate in business administration. With a lot of effort and dedication, and the support of his mother, Cesar sell groceries, principally tubers. He works about fourteen hours every day and tends to more than twenty customers, thanks to his experience and the warm welcome he gives them. Cesar is very grateful to Kiva lenders, whose help will enable him to buy more merchandise to sell in his shop, such as rice, sugar, oil, etc. Thus his grocery shop will be better-stocked and he will stand a chance to have a stall in the city's market. He will then be able to improve his income and his family's quality of life.
