A loan of $775 helped to buy spare parts to repair her vehicle and to pay the mechanic to service her vehicle which is used in her transport service between provinces on a daily basis.

Primitiva's story

Primitiva is 37 years old. She has two children with Sergio who are 13 and 11 years old. They live together in their own home in a cattle area. Primitiva is a women who puts effort into all her activities. This is why she works in her vegetable business in the wholesale market, and is a farmer.

But the activity that is most satisfying is the interprovincial transport service. Four months ago, she and her husband bought a second-hand minivan. Her husband works every day traveling from Tarma to Chanchamayo (central jungle) and back again.

Primitiva is happy with her activities and with the support she receives, and through educational talks, she was encouraged to venture into this activity. She now requires more help as she needs to service her vehicle in order to continue working. This is her fifth loan through MFP. She promises to be punctual in the payment of her loans. She says that her communal bank, “Mirando un futuro mejor,” is united, so she likes working with the members.

She will use the money to buy spare parts for her minivan, and will pay to have the vehicle serviced.
