Roberto is a young man of 20. He lives in the city of Chincha, which is characterized by its warm climate. It has beautiful beaches, and its people have a gift for preparing delicious dishes. When Roberto has free time, he very much likes to listen to music, and sometimes he likes to eat of of his favorite dishes, "carapulcra con sopa seca" (a spicy Peruvian stew made from meat, dried potatoes, and vegetables).

With great effort, Roberto managed to study for a career as a welding technician, and he works as a welder in a factory in his city. He works about 9 hours a day, and with the fruit of his work he can help his parents with the household expenses, since they are of humble means. He believes that it is going well for him at his job because he is responsible and honest in his work.

Roberto is very grateful to the Kiva lenders, since with the great help that they have offered him, he will be able to complete improvements in his home, such as constructing walls, remodeling, plastering, and installing plumbing, among other items. In this way he will have a better quality of life and will continue striving every day to make his great dream a reality: to have his own house and to be able to study for an additional career.

Roberto es un joven de 20 años de edad, vive en la ciudad de Chincha, la cual se caracteriza por tener un clima cálido, posee playas hermosas, así como también sus pobladores tiene un don para la preparación de platillos, ya que lo hacen de manera deliciosa. Cuando dispone de un tiempo libre le gusta mucho escuchar música y en ocasiones le encanta comer uno de sus platillos favoritos “Carapulcra con sopa seca”.

Con mucho esfuerzo Roberto logro estudiar la carrera de Técnico de Soldadura, con lo cual trabaja en una fábrica de su ciudad como soldador, el labora alrededor de 9 horas al día y con el fruto de su trabajo puede apoyar a sus padres con los gastos del hogar, ya que ellos son de condición humilde, el cree que le va bien en su trabajo porque es responsable y honrado en su trabajo.

Roberto está muy agradecido con los prestatarios Kiva ya que con la gran ayuda que le han brindado el podrá realizar mejoras en su vivienda como construcción de paredes, refacciones, tarrajeo, instalaciones de tuberías, entre otros, de esta manera tendrá una mejor calidad de vida y seguirá luchando cada dia por hacer realidad su más grande sueño:” Tener una casa propia y poder tener estudiar una carrera adicional”.
