Victor's story

Victor is 36 years old and single. He earns a living making wicker chairs from "bejuco" (a kind of plant that you use the stems of), a trade he learned from his father and has been doing for a number of years. He lives in the city of San Jose. This loan is his first within the institution. Victor is going to use this loan to buy a motorcycle which will allow him to get from one place to another for his work. Victor faces challenges in his business: he wants to get out of poverty and improve his quality of life. He wishes are to sell his artisan products in different locations including the city of Santa Cruz and to be considered one of the finest artisans. He feels happy and grateful for the support given by the institution.
