A loan of $575 helped to buy clothes.

Lady's story

Lady, 21, is an enterprising, hardworking young woman in addition to being kind and cordial. She’s single living with her father, mother and three sisters: Claudia, Moli and Brenda who are 19, 8, and 6 years of age respectively who she loves very much. They all live together in her parents’ house.

Lady’s activity is selling clothes for men and women. To do so, she makes periodic trips to Lima twice a month to make her purchases always seeking the best prices and styles to then personally resell among her friends. She also has a job in a private firm and sells her clothes to her coworkers there too.

She’s been in business two years having started with an MFP loan; she works doing the sales and collecting payments by herself. She considers the business to be profitable because of the good profits it nets.

She likes her business because it generates income to cover her higher education costs as well as the education costs for her younger sisters; she feels proud to be able to help them get ahead and become future professionals in service of the community. She gets much satisfaction from her business and wants to expand it and make it grow. This is MFP loan #5 and she can count on collaboration to make her plans a reality. Also, she feels comfortable as part of her group because she considers it to be united and supportive.

She will use the requested 1500 new soles to buy assorted clothes in of various styles that she’ll bring from the capital looking for the lowest prices so profits will be higher since she has pending orders to fill.
