A loan of $550 helped to buy cattle.

Diana Carolina's story

Diana, 20, is single. She completed elementary school but did not have the resources needed to continue with her education. She lives with her mother. They live in Recinto Bellavista, a sector with humid climate in Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas Province, a key province where the coastal and mountain regions of Ecuador meet. Its economy has developed thanks to tourism, commerce, agriculture and animal husbandry.

Diana started her milk producing business four years ago. She puts long hours of hard work into it every day of the week. Diana approached Fundación Alternativa because she found out about the the support it gives the rural sector and she decided to request a loan to buy cattle to increase production of milk she sells locally.
