A loan of $200 helped to purchase traditional cloths and sewing materials.

Beatrice's story

Béatrice is a 36 year old young woman, a single mother of two children aged 12 and 16 - they both attend school. She started a sewing workshop which she has been running for seven years. Her expertise in this work has helped her get and keep loyal customers.
However, due to her lack of capital she has to wait until a customer brings in cloth for sewing; there are often periods without customers and that is not profitable. Therefore, she is requesting this loan which will allow her to buy traditional "pagne" cloths and small sewing equipment, which she will make into outfits to resell. This will increase both her customer base and her profits.
The profit generated will help her to develop her business, and also to meet her family's living expenses.
