Dolgor's story

Dolgor, 48 years old, lives with her husband and two children in Hovd province in Western Mongolia. Her eldest daughter is employed and her other daughter studies at the secondary school. Her husband used to work with a construction company.

Assisted by her husband, Dolgor has been running a fruit retailing business since 2000. Early in 2012, they bought land and began growing organic vegetables such is potatoes, carrots, turnip and cabbage. The business is now the sole source of income for the family, and Dolgor says, ''We need to transport our products to Ulaanbaatar, because the season is coming and there will be more customers to purchase organic vegetables." She is therefore requesting a loan of 5,000,000 MNT to transport her organic vegetable to Ulaanbaatar to sell.
