A loan of $400 helped to purchase polo shirts, pants, etc. for her used clothing business.

Felicita's story

Ms. Felicita is a member of the communal bank "Las Margaritas" of the Coronel Portillo district, department of Ucayali. She is 46 years old, single and has four children. She has been working only a short time with the loans which Manuela Ramos gives her each loan cycle. She earns a living selling secondhand clothing.

With the new loan of 1,000 Peruvian soles she will purchase 10 pairs of pants, 10 shirts, 20 polo shirts for adults, 5 sweaters, and 7 long-sleeved shirts.

She sells her clothing at farmhouses where she has her customers. She visits them every two weeks bringing them what's new. Thanks to Manuela Ramos she has this small business which helps her generate income for her home because she is the only one raising her children, who still depend on her.
