A loan of $775 helped to buy the merchandise for her business.

Cirila Lourdes's story

Cirila is a 51-year old woman who lives in the city of Cañete in the Imperial district with her husband and 4 children, who she loves and who are her main reason for being. She is a friendly, hard-working and enthusiastic person who, together with her husband, dedicates all her efforts to getting the family ahead. Cirila has always been a fighter, and has worked since a young girl to support her parents. Sadly, she was not able to pursue a professional career, but she would have liked very much to do so.

With great effort, enthusiasm, and thanks to the support of her family, Cirila started a small business selling vegetables several years ago. She has a small space in the central market of her city, and starts work very early in the morning. She can work approximately 10 hours per day, and thinks that things are going well thanks to her dedication and the friendly service she offers customers. Cirila is very grateful for the Kiva loans since, thanks to their help, she will be able to buy merchandise for her store such as: pumpkins, lemons, onions, potatoes, and tomatoes, among other items.

The purchases will help Cirila supply her business better, which she hopes will augment her income. This will serve her in expanding her business in the near future, and to achieve her great dream of seeing her sons become professionals and good men.
