A loan of $975 helped buy different brands and flavours of soft drinks and candy.

Sheily's story

44-year old Sheily is a hardworking, diligent woman as well as being friendly and likable. She is married to German, a teacher and father to their daughter 17-year old Josie. She lives in her own house along with her sister and mother-in-law. Sheila earns her living selling soft drinks so she has a big refrigerator which she bought with help from her father and husband. The drinks are kept there so they are cold, just the way her customers like them. She also sells candy of different types and brands.
Sheily has had her business for more than four years, serving her customers in a friendly manner so they choose to buy from her. Their recommendations have also brought her new customers.

She has had difficulties paying for household expenses so she likes her business as it generates an income and allows her to feel usefully occupied. Sheily says the business is profitable as there is a demand for what she sells. Her plans for the future include continuing with the business and growing it. She would also like to open a grocery store.

This is her 9th loan with MFP and she wishes to continue working with the institution so she can complete her objectives. She also enjoys working with her community bank and helping other people improve their businesses.

With the 2,500 soles loan she is seeking, Sheily will buy soft drinks of different brands and flavours as well as candy in large amounts so that her store is well-stocked. She will be able to buy at lower prices because of the volume of purchases.
