A loan of $575 helped to buy body putty and other repair supplies for his body and paint shop.

Junior Antonio's story

Junior is a very hard-working and, above all, enthusiastic youth, 22 years of age. He lives in the city of Camana, known for its hot climate, beautiful beaches, a varied gastronomy and, above all, its very amiable people. When he has free time, Junior likes to play football with friends and neighbors from his barrio. He also likes to enjoy, on occasions, one of his favorite plates, which is the tasty “Chupe de Camarones” [Peruvian Shrimp Chowder]. Since he was quite young, Junior has had to work because his parents were very poor. For that reason, he could study only to the 5th grade of secondary school. But he would have liked to study for a career at the university.

Day after day, Junior works on vehicles in his small business, a body and paint shop. He works around 9 hours a day because painting vehicles takes much time. He thinks the business is going well, since he is very responsible and considerate with his customers.

Junior is very grateful for Kiva lenders who, thanks to the help they have offered, make it possible for him to purchase materials for his business, such as paints and body putty, among other items -- the materials he needs to carry out his work. This will permit him to continue struggling each day to make a reality of his grand dream: “To have his own house.”
