Sra. Mirian is 52 years old, single, and lives with her grown son in the town of Tela, Atlántida. Twelve years ago, she established her own business as a source of income. Doña Mirian prepares and sells breakfast, lunch, dinner, soft drinks, and natural juices from a kiosk that is attached to her house. She previously worked as a rice farmer, but thought that a food business would be good idea, so she decided to pursue establishing one.


Sra. Mirian is very enterprising and has worked with several loans. The loan she is currently requesting is in the amount of 25,000 HNL and will be used to buy a new refrigerator for her business and supplies such as meat, rice, vegetables, flour, oil, and other ingredients for preparing her dishes. This investment will enable her to provide better service to her customers. With her profits, Mirian plans to build a concrete structure so that she can always improve her business. She also wants to make improvements to the home that she built using the earnings from her business.
