A loan of $400 helped to buy vegetables, grains, and pots to prepare food.

Luisa's story

Luisa is 46 years old. She is a widow. She lives in her own house, which she bought with the help of her deceased spouse. She lives there with her only son, Denys, who is 14. Luisa is an industrious woman. She sells food in her own house. She has been doing this work alone for five years, and sometimes she has the help of her son. What she likes most about her work is that thanks to it, she can pay her household expenses, and she saves part of her earnings so that her son will be able to finish his schooling.

With her loan that she will buy ingredients to continue preparing her food, since she has hope that in the future she will manage to open a restaurant, and she feels more sure of offering good comfort to her customers. This is her first loan, and she feels proud to have her financial support. She is also grateful to her communal bank for giving her the opportunity to work with truthful members.

With the 1000 PEN, she will stock vegetables and grains, and with the rest she will buy a bigger pot for preparing her food.
