A loan of $600 helped to buy natural fertilizer.

Jhony's story

Jhony is 23 years old and lives with his wife and son in a house he inherited from his parents. He has been selling animals, such as cows, sheep and horses for five years. Currently this business generates the income to support his recently established family. His work consists of buying animals wholesale, which he sells in the same place at the cattle market. Therefore he leaves at dawn to make his purchases from the animal owners and to guarantee he makes a good profit margin.

In addition to this business, he also has land under cultivation in the higher areas of the town. There he has corn, potatoes and other tubers, which he tends very carefully since it is profitable in this environment and he plans to continue growing both his capital and by expanding his land holdings.

He belongs to the “Ajo Pata” Communal Bank and this is his third loan from MFP. He is grateful because he feels this loan will help him to improve his business and he promises to be punctual in his payments.

Jhony will invest the money in the purchase of natural fertilizer for his fields and if he has enough, he will also buy cattle.
