A loan of $1,650 helped to buy two computers.

Juan's story

Juan Carlos is 30 years of age, and works offering software and hardware consultancy services. From an early age he enjoyed learning about software development and IT equipment maintenance and repair. He studied physics, and to improve his business he has managed to focus on a market comprised of businesses, individuals and a large number of referrals.

Juan Carlos has 12 years of experience, and this is the main strength of his business, which he started up eight years ago. His dream is to expand his business infrastructure, so that in the future he can have his own house and specialize in physics, which is his biggest dream.

Juan Carlos’ greatest challenge is obtaining enough working capital so that he can invest and move forward with his business project, which is a life-long project. He has applied for a Kiva loan from Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, and this is his first financing from the organization. He plans to use the loan to buy two computers, which he will use to increase his physical infrastructure. This will also enable him to expand his consultancy services among his extensive current and potential customer base, as he plans to win even more jobs from them.
