Managua, Nicaragua / Personal Housing Expenses

A loan of $425 helped cement, sand, cement blocks, wire, rebar, tin roofing and wood boards.

Gelser Francisco's story

Gesler is married and his wife sells cosmetics from catalogs. His plan for the future is to have his own house, since he currently lives with his son and his wife in a room in his mother-in-law’s house. With this motivation, he has used his savings to buy 100 stones to begin building his house, but he now finds himself in an economic situation such that he doesn’t have the resources to continue building. He has been working for two years at a private company as a material coordinator, but his income isn’t sufficient to build the house. So, he is requesting the loan in order to achieve his dream of building his house. The requested loan is for buying the following materials that he needs: cement, sand, cement blocks, wire, rebar, tin roofing and wood boards.
