A loan of $1,100 helped to purchase new computer equipment.

Yuranis's story

Yuranis, 22, has a business where she provides to her customers Internet communications, cell phone recharging and also sells stationery supplies and ice cream. Her business was born in the month of July of 2006 since she learned how to handle computer technology as a big hobby. Her father supported her interest, purchasing three computers for her to initiate an income-generating business. So began her road to success as she made a good profit which allowed her to add printing services for which she purchased a machine, as well as international calling, by which she went about establishing a customer base, taking the opportunity to add products for sale that might fit well with her business, such as the stationery items and frozen treats.

Her main customers are students, neighbors and business employees who access the technological services and make purchases from morning until 9 at night. She exerts herself constantly to tend to her customers' every need because she wants to achieve the dream of laying the foundations so that when her children arrive to the home she shares with her husband, they would have everything ready to achieve their well-being. Currently she has approached the Fundación Mario Santo Domingo in order to access a Kiva loan with which she will purchase new computer equipment to replace that which has become obsolete. In this way she will provide greater speed for computer tasks which will attract ever more potential customers and build the loyalty of her regular customers, earning more and more money for her work.
