Sharifan's story

Ms. Sharifan is a 51-year-old married woman and has enjoyed the work of making Parandas for so many years. Paranda is considered as a traditional hair accessory in a country like Pakistan. Women use it for a traditional look on special occasions like Eid (a holiday) and weddings. She makes beautiful Parandas, especially for bridal hairstyles.

She initiated her business with the support of Kashf foundation. Taking a loan from Kashf helped her account for expenses she thought she could never bear.

She is striving hard to meet her family expenditures. She is responsible for providing them a good environment with good food, clothing, and education.
