A loan of $4,775 helped a member to open her new soft drinks business.

Venezuela Group's story

Judith, who is in her early 30s, is married and has a son and a daughter who go to school. She has been selling soft drinks, groundnuts and cake of different types since 2005. She works from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily and she is able to make a good monthly profit.

She requested a fourth loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to buy a business freezer, a machine used for processing groundnuts, and ice-cream equipment, and she has paid back all her loans successfully.

She hopes for a loan to open her new soft-drinks business. Judith's dream is to one day be able to open her own company to supply soft drinks and related items.

She will share this loan with her loan group, "Venezuela," which totals 16 members who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.

In this group: Judith, Rebeca, Omary, James, Flora, Eliza, Aranyaeli, Asha, Catheline, Magreth, Veronica, Hamisi, Mashaka, Amosi, Florah, Eva
