A loan of $500 helped to buy feed and medicines for her animals.

Josselyn Francisca's story

The Esfuerzo y Poder cooperative bank meets every fifteen days in the canton of Olmedo, a place known for its beautiful landscapes and hard-working people dedicated to farming and raising livestock.

This is where Josselyn, 19, lives with her husband, but they don’t have children yet. Her husband provides moto taxi transportation services.

She is a very good homemaker who, to help with the household expenses, dedicates herself to raising chickens and pigs. She has a small little farm at her house where she raises the little animals. She buys them when they are very small and, after a certain amount of time when they’re ready to be sold, she takes them to the local market for the people who arrive daily for their supplies. She also sells to her neighbors, and has dedicated herself to this activity for more than 5 years.

This loan is to buy feed and medicines for the animals. She has two loan cycles with the cooperative bank, and likes it very much because the loans are quick and don’t have so many requirements.

Her dream is to have a baby.
