Liziko's story

Liziko is from a small village of Kareli district. She is 51 years old, married, and lives with her parents-in-law. Her parents-in-law have a retirement pension. Liziko's husband has a tractor and provides seasonal agricultural services to local farmers and gets a service fee for the work. The main source of income for the family is the agricultural business. In particular, they have a plot of land, which is cultivated and they grow different kinds of fruits and vegetables, such as tomatoes, cabbages, beets, haricots, onions and apples. Liziko sells her agricultural production locally.

She requested a loan to purchase cattle. She will buy three milk cows and be able to sell dairy products. Liziko hopes her business will generate a higher income. This will give her an opportunity to improve her family's living conditions.
