Verónica Magalis
Verónica works as a teacher in a school, and she also teaches private physics classes. Her previous loans with AFODENIC and KIVA were to build and make improvements on her house. Her husband works as a cashier at a hotel in the capital. She is eight months and seven days pregnant, and her plan for the future is to start a business selling clothes or an appliances store. The greatest difficulty she has had is searching for another place of employment with a good living wage. This has not been possible, but she says that she thanks God for her health and the love of her family. The loan requested will be used to purchase construction materials to build a bigger room for the baby that is soon to arrive. She already has the sand, but she needs the cinder blocks, cement, rebar, tie wire, and lumber which will be purchased through the loan.
