Los Gigantes De Santiago De Chacan Group's story

Asunta is 44 years old, married, and from this beautiful relationship she has six children. She is from the province of Anta, in the department of Cusco. Asunta is an enterprising mother and is responsible for her family's succees. She works selling bread and has a small oven in her house where she makes delicious bread. She also raises small animals such as guinea pigs, chickens, and pigs, among others. She also works in agriculture and livestock. For many years she has worked at this business and it is going very well for her. For this opportunity, Asunta requires a loan in order to buy food for her livestock such as grass, vitamins, and other concentrates. (Asunta is raising her hand in the photograph.)

This group was formed of neighbors and friends who form the community bank "Los Gigantes de Santiago" (The Giants of Santiago) in the province of Anta in the department of Cusco. The community bank was formed by people who look for opportunities for success in every moment and with their daily effort seek to build a better life for their children. The members in general are grateful for the opportunity it brings and promise to pay the payments on time. (The member who appears in the bottom right of the photograph left before the group photo was taken.)
