A loan of $1,000 helped to buy flower seeds.

Julio's story

Julio has a son; he separated from his wife over a year ago. Julio lives with his son in his own house occupying a single room with adobe walls and dirt floor. The house is located in El Palomar in La Paz Department.

He currently works growing flowers more than ten hours daily since he must cover his family’s education, food and basic utility costs with what he earns. He needs the loan to buy various flower seeds to offer more variety to his customers and increase his income this way.

Julio’s dream is to build a couple of rooms at home to provide his son more comfort since he will soon start university. This is his second IMPRO loan request and first with KIVA.
