Delia Luz's story

Delia is a member of the communal bank "Santa Barbara" from the district of Coronel Portillo, in department of Ucayali. She is 47 years old, is married and has two sons, but only one is under her care. She is one of the founders of this communal bank that, despite the time, she has never had a past due loan. She makes a living selling gold jewelry (14K), gold imitations and trimmings, and her business is well stocked. With her new loan of S/ 3.000 new soles she will buy: 50 sets of necklaces, 25 bracelets of 14K, 50 earrings for girls, a hundred clips for girls, and cents of hair bands. She is very dedicated to her business, despite the fact that her husband works. She feels the need to have something of her own so she can help her children in what they need.
