A loan of $125 helped to buy seeds, manure and fertilizers.

Fidel's story

Fidel lives alone, and has a house made of metal sheets which was donated to him by the town hall. He is a day laborer and also grows corn on a plot of land which he rents. He carries out his daily work with other people in the same area.

Fidel has requested a loan to buy materials to carry out his agricultural work, protecting his crops from plague. He will buy seeds, manure and fertilizers, and the loan will allow him to have the money he needs to start work and use these materials. The risk he faces is that his crops may be jeopardized by the climate, in which case he may lose them. Fidel’s goal is to work for himself, and in the future he would like to improve his home and have enough income to provide for himself.
